News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Jan. 4, 2019: OK, my one-week Trump’s America vacation is OVER. I’m well rested. I’m fired up and ready to go. Who else said that?
Anyway, my boss is rough. I don’t expect another vacation for a long time.
And I am not going to begin the NEW Year here bashing Donald Trump. Why waste my time or yours on the obvious? We all know Trump must go.
Where there is real value is in bashing the OLD Democrats. They must go.
Because they aren’t going to beat Trump and so what if they do?
Guess where I just saw the Old Democrats? Starting a new session of Congress in DC this afternoon led (sic) by Nancy Pelosi and her crew.
Yes, we begin the NEW session of Congress as I write on Thursday with the return of the same OLD Democratic power structure now in control. Control of the House of Representatives to be more precise.
And who today was crowned once again as the Queen, aka Speaker of the House? The same OLD Queen as 12 years ago from the last session of Congress in which the Democratic Party controlled the House when Barack Obama was first elected President promising us CHANGE he did not deliver.
DISCLAIMER. All my references are not about chronological age but rather OLD-style Status Quo politicians who many happen to be old but in fact, all these new younger Democrats in Congress think much the same.
How do I know? They just elected Nancy Pelosi Speaker again!
WHAT? How can I say that? They are so fresh and eager with new ideas….
They have all re-elected Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the House. And on the Senate side Democrats, have re-elected Chuck Schumer Minority Leader.
And concurrently, the Democratic Party 2020 Presidential Nomination Sweepstakes is underway and who is leading so far by far? Old Joe Biden. Hillary is missing so far and let us all PRAY she stays missing from the List.
Yes, there is Elizabeth Warren too. Raise your hand if any of you think Native American Elizabeth Warren is going to be elected the next President of the United States?????
What? I don’t see even one hand raised?
As for Joe Biden, aka Uncle Joe … SURPRISE he is NO Change Agent and that is what we so desperately need.
Joe Biden is nothing but the “kinder gentler” version of the Status Quo Democratic Party Elite.
Yes, I was out there last election pushing hard for Uncle Joe. He could have stopped Hillary Clinton and easily beaten Donald Trump. He was our last best hope in 2016. But those days are over. No more Joe.
The REAL Joe, based on my view, did not run in 2016 for very distressing reasons. He was conned out of running by the “incestuous” partnership between Obama and Clinton to get her the nomination. Plus another factor I think – Honest Joe was bought off by Hillary – most likely with the promise of being named Secretary of State after her guaranteed victory for President.
So much for Joe. He would not even honor his dying son’s wish that he run for President in 2016. Now he has written a book about his deceased son as part of his preparation for a likely 2020 campaign. Very disingenuous Joe!
Worse, Biden has turned himself into another wealthy elite Pitch Man for himself. Working Class Joe has set up a variety of foundations that he benefits from and goes around the country making speeches for the Big Bucks, while living the life style of the politically rich and famous in D.C.
As reported in The New York Times this week for example, Biden agreed to give one of his canned speeches at a university for the DISCOUNT rate of $100,000 – much lower than his normal fee – because it was for students to see him. But the university still has to pay for a private jet to fly Joe and his entourage there and back along with first class hotel accommodations, and purchase 1,000 copies of his memoir. And this too – they must ONLY refer to him as Vice President Biden – NOT FORMER Vice President Biden. What??
NO, NO, NO!
We do not need a Joe Biden & Elizabeth Warren Ticket. We need REAL Change from a NEW Democratic Party for the 21st century.
Goodbye Hillary and Bill, Barack and Michelle, Nancy and Chuck and all the other Democratic Status Quo junkies masquerading as Change Agents.
We need a lot more than some modest new bills introduced by Democrats in Congress. Or yet more investigations of Whacko Donald Trump. We need more than getting rid of Trump. We don’t need modest improvements. We need a New America for the 21st century that works for ALL of us.
All Americans need the kind of deal only the 1% get now. They get all the political and economic power they want. We all deserve the same.
Or do you buy into the destructive fantasy destroying our future, that the 1% are better and smarter and more deserving than you are? Do you?
To paraphrase F. Scott Fitzgerald long ago: The rich are different than you and me. They have all the money. And he should have added power.
We need a NEW Democratic Party, so everyone gets a FAIR share of it all.
