News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Oct. 18, 2019: This may not be good for keeping the attention of my readers but …
Here is the answer … WE DO NOT NEED BILLIONAIRES!
In fact, billionaires are DESTROYING America and the world. Their pathological GREED for money & power is a fatal disease for the rest of us.
THINK ABOUT IT … we glorify the super-rich as “gods” who are so much better than the rest of us. What makes them “better?” They have all the money and the power stolen from the rest of us because they control everything. They write laws, the tax code, control everything to favor them!
We collectively worship them in the Forbes List of Billionaires and likewise in other mindless publications in both America and the around the world. What they are really telling us is who are the GREEDIEST people on Earth.
Some of those “famous” names are Bill & Melinda Gates, the one and only Mark Zuckerberg and at the top of every list His Majesty Jeff Bezos the greediest human being in the entire history of human society.
Who can argue against a GOOD SOAK? Its therapeutic.
And its long past time that our United States and the rest of the world finally SOAK the super-rich. They very “richly” deserve it. Do we need a better (sic) example than the Trumps? But yet there are so many more …
How about the CRIMINAL dangerous drug lords, The Wonderful Sacklers, who should all be in a high security prison, but they are BILLIONAIRES!
Here is some wonderful dialogue from the Democratic Presidential debate courtesy of The New York Times of October 17, 2019 in an article titled …. Why Don’t Rich People Just Stop Working?
Here is part of this enlightening story …
“Billionaires should not exist,” Senator Bernie Sanders said last month. And, at the Democratic presidential debate this week, he said that the wealth disparity in America is “a moral and economic outrage.”
“Senator Sanders is right,” said Tom Steyer, a businessman from California who happened to be the only billionaire onstage that night.
“No one on this stage wants to protect billionaires — not even the billionaire wants to protect billionaires,” noted Senator Amy Klobuchar.”
“It’s an idea that’s going around. Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook founder who is worth close to $70 billion, is apparently open to it. “I don’t know that I have an exact threshold on what amount of money someone should have,” he said in live-streamed question-and-answer session with company employees in early October. “But on some level, no one deserves to have that much money.”
“Yet here we are, chugging into the10th year of an extremely top-heavy economic boom in which the 1 percenters, by all statistical measures, have won, creating the greatest wealth disparity since the Jazz Age. This era, in length and gains, dwarfs the “greed is good” 1980s, that era of yellow ties, nigiri rolls and designer espresso machines that has come to symbolize gilded excess in popular imagination.”
ENCORE … “Yet here we are, chugging into the 10th year of an extremely top-heavy economic boom in which the 1 percenters, by all statistical measures, have won, creating the greatest wealth disparity since the Jazz Age. This era, in length and gains, dwarfs the “greed is good” 1980s, that era of yellow ties, nigiri rolls and designer espresso machines that has come to symbolize gilded excess in popular imagination.”
“And yet the only thing we know in this casino-like economy — a casino that may, in fact, soon be shuttered — is that for those at the top, too much is never enough.”
ANOTHER ENCORE … “And yet the only thing we know in this casino-like economy — a casino that may, in fact, soon be shuttered — is that for those at the top, too much is never enough.”
And no matter how much it impoverishes everyone else.
It is time to face this all-important issue …
SHOULD BILLIONAIRES EXIST??? What good exactly do they do for society or the rest of us being that so, so rich. Is how rich any of them are based on how much good they do for the rest of us? Of course not.
There is nothing wrong with being rich in moderation. Personal success is essential to a healthy society. But incredibly rich individuals have nothing to do with that. What they have to do with is endless greed and power.
Do the Sacklers deserve to be multi-billionaires for creating the worst drug epidemic in all of human history? I don’t think so. Look at the entire list of billionaires. None of them DESERVE to be that rich or powerful.
Here is the real bottom line – we need a WEALTH TAX right now … If we all want to prosper …. if we want to survive as a legitimate nation!
It’s time the SUPER rich pay their FAIR share, they sure don’t now. We do not have a form of Capitalism that makes any sense in the 21st century.
