News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Nov. 9, 2018: Look at this photo. LOOK AT THIS PHOTO!! LOOK AGAIN!!!
This is what it looks like when dying from starvation. This is how 7-year-old Amal Hussaun DIED last week in Yemen. Why??? For no good reason at all.
Ask so-called Crown Prince Salman and so-called President Trump.
Call Salman a murderer and Trump an accessory to murder.
Because that is exactly what they are. Salman should be on trial for murder for this and many other reasons and Donald Trump should not be President.
Amal Hussaun and so many like her is why I am not writing about the elections this wee as everyone else in political journalism is, except to make one point – NO body – not Democrats or Republicans – made an issue of the abuses taking place in Yemen most of all, or plenty of other places around the world.
Morality has become a dirty word in Washington for both parties.
And at President Trump’s BIZARRE press conference the day after Election Day, not one question for Trump about Yemen, let alone Amal Hussaun.
And with all the talk about what the Democrats will do with their majority in the House, is there even one word spoken about foreign policy or morality?
What is it like to die of starvation and that much worse in a world filled with plenty? Thankfully I don’t know and neither do you, and hopefully we never will. By all accounts, it is a horrible way to die – no surprise to anyone.
In Yemen, death by STARVATION is a widespread crime committed by yes, the so-called Crown Price of Saudi Arabia, aka the murderer Salman.
We know about 7-year-old Amal Hussaun as a specific victim only because The New York Times published the photo above while she was barely alive, before dying just days ago while the rest of us did not even notice.
How did Yemen become the starvation capital of the world today?
All you have to do is ask so-called crown prince Salman and his willing accomplice, Donald Trump; except of course you cannot ask either – nor can I.
But elected officials in Washington can ask and all the media packed into the Trump press conference on Wednesday could have asked, but they did not.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, we don’t need to ask either to find out why Amal Hussaun and many others are being murdered by starvation in Yemen today.
It is all because Salman and Saudi Arabia are waging a vicious war in Yemen against rebels, for control of this God forsaken land. And no tactics are off the table with the complete support of Donald Trump and his Administration, even in the face of the brutal execution of Saudi American journalist Jamal Khashoggi by Salman and his band of murderous thugs.
All Trump has done, and only after the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, is ask Salman, pretty please consider temporarily halting the slaughter in Yemen, which he has not, but continues to do with American weapons and logistics from the U.S. military and U.S. midair refueling of attack jets bought from the U.S. on their way to rain destruction and death on innocent civilians in Yemen.
(This series dedicated in honor of the late Liu Xiaobo & Jamal Khashoggi)
