News Americas, SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Fri. May 21, 2013: A total of 20 bales of cocaine was this week seized by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), working jointly with members of the Caribbean Corridor Strike Force (CCSF) off the southern coast of Puerto Rico.

The drugs weighed 1,517 pounds and had an estimated street value of more than $24 million.

Along with the cocaine stash, three Dominican Republic nationals were arrested for drug trafficking. They were transferred to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Guaynabo to await the outcome of their case.
