News Americas, PHILADELPHIA, PA, Sat. April 25, 2016, 12:44 p.m.: The U.S.A Blue team of Justin Gatlin Mike Rodgers, Isaiah Young and Ryan Bailey emerged the winner of the highly anticipated USA versus the world men’s 4×100 meters relay at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA just moments ago.

The USA Blue beat back Jamaica’s Nesta Cater, Michael Frater, Asafa Powell and Jason Livermore to win in a time of 38.68. It was the first time Powell was returning to the Penn Relays following his 18 month suspension for using a banned substance.

Jamaica’s time was 38.88 to earn the second spot.

“It’s always a pleasure to come back to Penn Relays. I feel like  if I don’t run Penn Relays, it’s an incomplete season for me. To com back here knowing the rich culture of Penn Relays and seeing all the different faces, it’s always a good thing,” said Gatlin.

USA Red – Joe Morris, Justin Walker, Maurice Mitchell and Sean McClean – took the third spot in a time of 38.92 while Canada’s Gavin Smellie, Aaron Brown, Dontae Richards-Kwok, Akeem Haynes were fourth in a time of 39.70.

China’s Shiwei Chen, Zhenye Xie, Yang Yang, Youxue Mo were fifth in a time of 39.90 while the Hong Kong side of Yik Chun, Chun Ho, Ka Fung, Chi Ho was sixth in a 40.20.

The Guyana team of Jeremy Bascom, Stephan James, Winston George and Adam Harris were last in a time of 40.66.
