News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Thurs. Dec. 19, 2013: Newly-crowned “Voice” 2013 champion, Jamaican vocal dynamo Tessanne Chin, made it to the Big Apple on Thursday.
The singer, who made Caribbean history Tuesday night, Dec. 17, 2013, made the media rounds in New York, with her first stop on NBC’s TODAY Show early Thursday morning.

Chin also took time to pose with her trophy during her visit to NBC’s The TODAY Show at Rockefeller Center in midtown Manhattan.

And she embraced members of the Jamaican/Caribbean Diaspora who voted for her and braved the cold weather to greet her at Rockefeller Plaza even as Jamaican restaurant franchise, Golden Krust, was on hand to lend their support, serving up some ‘bread and butta.’

Chin made the phrase popular at her audition three months ago by saying music was her ‘bread and butta.’

The singer returns home to Jamaica soon. She told Link Up Radio Thursday afternoon she was looking forward to eating oxtails, butter beans, rice and peas and fried plantains.
