News Americas, PHILADELPHIA, PA, Tues. July 26, 2016: Mexican-American Actress Eva Longoria took to the stage of the Democratic Convention 2016 Monday night and had a strong message for Donald Trump: “We didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us.”

Citing history, the South Texas-born Longoria reminded delegates and Americans that Texas used to be part of Mexico.

“I’m ninth generation American. My family never crossed the border. The border crossed us,” said the feisty actress to applause.   “So when Donald Trump calls us criminals and rapists, he’s insulting American families.”

“My father is not a criminal or rapist. In fact, he is a United States veteran,” said Longoria, a clear reference to Donald Trump’s anti-immigrant campaign.

The actress insisted the election is very personal to her and said she is with “her” referring of course to Democratic Presidential candidate and soon to be nominee, Hillary Clinton.
