News Americas, Dubai, UAI, Tues. Oct. 3, 2011: The West Indies cricket squad have scored another win, this time over Afghanistan in a 50-over day/night match on Monday.
The Windies scored a five-wicket victory over Afghanistan as Devon Thomas and Danza Hyatt helped their team to the win with half-centuries, each in a match at the ICC Global Cricket Academy that brought the curtain down on the Carib-Asian Series.
Thomas hit the top score of 58 off 54 balls with four boundaries and two sixes while Hyatt made 53 with seven boundaries off 79 balls, as West Indies successfully chased 250 for victory with just one ball remaining.
The West Indies will leave today for Bangladesh, where they face the hosts in a Twenty20 and three One-Day Internationals, as well as two Tests.
