News Americas, PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, Mon. April 3, 2017: A chance at leveling the T20 international in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad seemed like a reality for the West Indies Sunday morning but by afternoon, that dream was dead.
After a strong 7-wicket win on Saturday, led largely by Evin Lewis with 91 runs in the 138 run chase to reduce Pakistan’s series lead to 2-1, the Windies men seemed set to level the series and give their fans a win.
But Pakistan’s Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan crushed that wish by grabbing two wickets a piece Sunday to restrict the West Indies to 124 for 8.
Pakistan for its part reached 127 for 3 to clinch the four-match T20 series 3-1.
The two teams resume their limited-overs battle in the three-match ODI series starting in Guyana on April 7.
