News Americas, London, England, Fri. Aug. 5, 2011: The West Indies cricket squad are set to face England next month.

The two sides will clash in two Twenty20 matches at the at The Kia Oval in London on Friday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 25th.

West Indies Cricket Board chief executive officer Dr Ernest Hilaire says the two-match Twenty20 International series against England is a welcome engagement for the regional side.

“We’re delighted with these two opportunities for our West Indian players to showcase their skills in the exciting T20 format,” Dr Hilaire said.

“We have had several players emerge on the world stage through this format and these two matches against the reigning World Twenty20 champions will test our players and provide them with wonderful opportunities to demonstrate their worth to the English fans and fans all across the world. We look forward to two competitive games and on behalf of the players we thank the ECB for the opportunities.”

The Windies will use the matches as part of the build-up as they look ahead to the ICC World Twenty20 Championship slated for Sri Lanka in September, 2012.
