News Americas, BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Weds. June 29, 2011: The West Indies cricket team will return to the crease this morning on 30 for three as they chase 201 runs scored by India in their first innings knock.
The Windies men are still 171 runs behind as Ramnaresh Sarwan and Devendra Bishoo will return to the crease at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
West Indies lost three crucial top order wickets shortly before the close of play yesterday after they had earlier toppled India for a disappointing 201.
Earlier in the day, fast bowlers Ravi Rampaul bagged 3 for 38 for the Windies while Fidel Edwards took 3 for 56 and leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo, 3 for 46.
The visitors were boosted by knocks of 85 from VVS Laxman and 53 from Suresh Raina.
The West Indies batting was undermined early by India’s seamers as openers Adrian Barath fell for 3, Lendl Simmons for 2 and Darren Bravo for 9.
The Windies are already 0-1 in the test series having lost the one day internationals.
